Cedar Point Dental was opened in 1993 by Dr. James Boggess. 

Dr. Boggess graduated from Benedictine University.   He then attended the University of Illinois School of Dental medicine and graduated in 1991. 

Dr. Boggess enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but he particularly enjoys oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry.

He is married and spends his free time golfing, riding motorcycles and traveling with his wife Sandy.

Dr. Todd Maggiore joined Cedar Point Dental in 2004.  He is a Springfield native and a graduate of the University of Illinois.  Dr. Maggiore attended Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1995.

 Dr. Maggiore is also a general dentist; he finds the areas of cosmetic and implant dentistry very rewarding.

Dr. Maggiore is a committed U of I sports fan.  He collects music and rock and roll memorabilia and enjoys traveling with his wife and son.

Both Dr.'s Boggess and Maggiore are members of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the G.V. Black Dental Society.
